Kids 1st Dental & Orthodontics

Everyone that works here are amazing..my 4 year old didn't like the dentist because she said they hurt her mouth. But after going here today she has a different thought. My 9 year old daughter enjoyed her experience as well. So I will continue bringing my kids here.

Great staff and always makes my child feel comfortable and safe. The dentist can be a scary place, and they always put her at ease the second she walks through the door. I would definitely recommend this as a great place for pediatric dentistry!

We have used this office for roughly 6 years. Dr Dean is fantastic, as are his hygienists. My daughter had a big phobia of dentists, and his staff did a fantastic job calming her fears. She has greatly improved with her phobia, and they have helped tremendously with that. I will forever be grateful for Dr. Dean and his team for that. In 2019, my son needed braces. We had always had a good experience with this practice, so we chose to use them for our orthodontia needs as well. If I was not already 17 months into the braces (and had not already paid up front for the service), I would have already found a new practice to use. I have been very disappointed with getting appointments with the orthodontist. I understood going in that the orthodontist was only available on Wednesdays and sometimes on Tuesdays; I did not anticipate having weeks long wait times if my child was sick and had to miss an appointment. Rescheduling here is a nightmare. At our January appointment, they couldn't get my son in at 4 weeks, and we were not available at the 5 week mark, so we made the appointment for 6 weeks out from his January appointment. That is the week it froze in Texas. I just called to reschedule that appointment and they can't get him in until the end of March. So it'll be 11 weeks from his last appointment. This is prolonging the time he will need to be in braces. If we had chosen a practice that was solely an orthodontist practice, I do not believe that rescheduling would be such a large issue. In addition to difficulty finding available appointments for orthodontia, I have not had call backs after leaving voicemails. My kids both had appointments back in March 2020. Even after the lockdown/closure had been lifted, I never received any rescheduling call from the office. In fact, any time I've ever had to leave a message, I do not get a call back. It's very frustrating. Based on our experience since getting braces, we will unfortunately be seeking a different dentist that fits our needs better. I wish we could switch orthodontists but it's not as easily done. We had loved this practice until we needed braces. Unfortunately, I feel like it's time for us to move on.
