Definitely do not shop here if you are worried about virus infection. The employees do not wear masks and it's a super small store, especially the dressing rooms and sale room. Cute clothes but definitely no safety protocol.

I have been asked to leave due to not wearing a mask when I have a condition that prevents me from doing so but they didn’t care and they were very rude about doing so

Adorable but NOT durable.nnThe clothes at Altar'd State are adorable, but I found that they were not durable. For Christmas 2013, I was excited to receive a loaded gift card for Altar'd State from my husband, since I had scoped the Austin store out while shopping for family during the holidays. Everything in the store looked lovely, in a style that I like, and despite never having made a purchase there before, I mentioned that I liked it (hence the gift card). About three weeks later, I went to Altar'd State to use my gift card. I ended up spending over $400 at the store on clothing.nnThat proved to be a mistake. Almost all of the shirts/tops I bought unraveled at seams within the first few times wearing them. One tank top shrank as well as a sweater. The seams also unraveled and ripped on the skirts. They were all cleaned following the labeled care instructions (and I promise I wasn't climbing barbed wire fences :P). Also, the clothes were all in different styles, so it's not like I bought a bunch of the same defective piece.nnSo, if you want something that you can wear only once or a couple of times, go with Altar'd State. If durability matter to you at all (or material and craftsmanship quality) then Altar'd State is NOT your store.
