Lila Cockrell Theatre

Yesterday, my husband and I and our neighbors saw the Nutcracker by the Children's Ballet San Antonio here. Thanks to Yelp San Antonio for the tickets! We had great seats - orchestra right!nnI had never seen the Nutcracker before and it really gets you feeling ready for Christmas. It was a wide range of ages performing - from adorable little ones to the graceful young adults. The amazing part is that none of the little ones seemed to have stage fright. Some were actually waving at the audience.nnTaking photos and videos was prohibited while the show was ongoing. I wish I could've captured the different outfits they wore.nnThere was a life-size Nutcracker so we had to take some pictures with it.

Great venue. There is ample room in the seats. The seats are nice and comfortable. The venue is next to Chris Ruth restaurant.

Mariachi Vargas concert and it was an AWESOME show. Going to make it a holiday tradition.

I was here Sept. 5 for a tribute to late former S.A. mayor Lila Cockrell. The theatre was named after her later. Seating was comfortable, facilities fairly easy to get to. The week before, when the San Japan anime convention was being setup, she passed away.
