Walgreens Pharmacy

I’ve waited quite a while to leave a review, because I didn’t want to judge them based on only a few visits. I’ve been coming here for four months a couple of times each month.nnOverall, the way I would describe the pharmacy as decent but extremely slow. I’ve waited 10-20 minutes just to pick up a medication that was ready while I was the only person there (including drive thru and inside) three or four times. I wouldn’t judge them if this happened one time, but it’s consistent. If I am the only person there, I should be able to come to the drive thru, pay, and pick up my medication in about 5 or 6 minutes.nnThey always get confused about filling my prescription. I get 30 pills in a bottle, and they insist that I have to wait 30 days before refilling it. If I do it that way, I have to come in first thing in the morning and sit and wait for them to refill it just to take my required dose for that day... which I’ve had to do for about 3 months now. I should be able to refill it even just two days early so that I can routinely wake up every morning and take my dose. I’ve been taking the same medication for 10 years and I’ve never had this issue anywhere. I shouldn’t have to constantly worry each month about whether or not I’ll have to wake up an hour early in the morning just to drop off my script on my way to work, take it as soon as they have time to fill it, and wait for an hour for it to kick in. They’ve agreed to fill it on the day I’ve run out, but I still have absolutely no option but to show up on THAT day regardless of whether or not I have time. I’d like at least the option to be able to refill it two or three days early, because I don’t understand how having 31 pills makes me more likely to abuse the medication than if I have 30. I should just be able to take my medication each morning like clockwork without it disrupting my life or getting withdrawal because I have to skip a day.nnThey never call me when my prescription is ready, I have to call and check.nnDespite this, the employees are generally very pleasant and friendly.nnIt’s a shame because this location is right next to me, but unfortunately unless this is fixed soon, I’ll probably be going out of my way to pick up my prescriptions somewhere else.
