The doctor and his staff were kind! We didn’t have a bad experience but we also didn’t have a great one. We checked in outside in our car and came into the building being led by our dental hygienist. She never introduced herself nor did she tell us where we were going or any information regarding the layout of the facility, the room we were in, or where the restrooms were. Within two minutes in the facility she asked my child to get on the dental chair (my child has never been to the dentist) and started laying the chair back. My child was obviously fearful. She didn’t explain step by step what she was doing and why she was doing it. After that point she showed my child a few of the instruments and asked her to touch them. My child, being fearful, of course hesitated so the hygienist proceeded to touch my child’s face showing how “soft” her glove was. We met this woman 3 minutes prior and now she’s touching my child’s face, having no relationship with my kid. She first asked my child to touch the glove to see that it wasn’t dangerous and how soft it was, which would have been great if she had given my kid the time to warm up and actually feel comfortable. Then after mere seconds she went to touch my kids cheek because they wouldn’t touch the glove like she had asked. Amidst the cleaning the hygienist was checking/responding to messages on her apple watch and I felt that this was a mote routine that was not catered to my kid who had never been to the dentist before. The cleaning overall took about 5 minutes and didn’t seem particularly thorough.nnPrior to the cleaning and the doctor coming in, the hygienist asked if I had any concerns. I stated several, one of which was my child currently sucking their thumb. When the doctor came in he clearly did not read any of the notes as he proceeded to tell me that it “looked” like my child used to suck their thumb. He did not recommend anything regarding the concern of the effects of my child sucking their thumb on their teeth nor any tips on how to more effectively kick the habit. None of my other concerns were addressed specifically unless I asked the question again.nnMy child also had some plaque build up issues that the doctor scraped off. The plaque was not fully removed. Then the doctor then proceeded to paint something on my child’s teeth without consulting with me as to what they were doing or what it was they were putting in their mouth. There were no further instructions given regarding when my child could eat or drink assuming that this was fluoride they were paining on the teeth. At no point did I fill out paperwork of any kind! No information about allergies, no information period. If my child were to have had an allergic reaction I would not quickly be able to assess what had caused the reaction. The visit was quick and overall I don’t feel like I left with my child’s teeth being much cleaner than when we walked in and certainly not better equip to take care of my child’s dental hygiene.

By leaps and bounds Happy Pediatric Dentistry has been the best! My kids feel safe and comfortable and are excited to visit the dentist. Everyone is friendly and provides top notch care. I couldn’t be any happier. I am so glad that I found this dentist office and look forward to continue taking my kiddos for regular exams and procedures.

Happy Pediatric Dentistry goes above and beyond for their patients. Even the littlest of them. The doctor revised my, 2 week old, son’s tongue tie. The whole process only took about 30 minutes from start to finish. Dr. Mani eased my mind by going over what was wrong with my son and the every part of the procedure. They’re AWESOME! The staff is great and the office is very kid friendly. I will be taking my daughter here when her dental exam comes up. Definitely recommend Happy Pediatric Dentistry.
