Germantown Community Library

The library is always clean and pleasant. I have never had an instance where the staff are anything but kind.nnThe COVID precautions are overdone. The five books per library card never made sense to me, the temperature taking with two employees monitoring you when you walk in is creepy. The signage telling you not to come close to the librarians at the check out desks comes over as rude and condescending.nnThe library itself is truly wonderful. It’s clean and well-run and an excellent resource. But the current COVID procedures give the impression that they are more interested in imposing nonsensical regulations than assisting the Germantown community.

1 star because the printers was broke and another star because they didn't have my book in stock. Overall, peaceful place

Our library should not close as long as covid measures are in place, as they were before it closed. You can go to Barnes and Noble or El Libre and there are Many people in there touching books, audiobooks, magazines and placing them back on shelf. The Germantown Library had very few folks in there at one time, and all had temperatures taken before entering. This is a public library paid with taxpayer money. No.you can't sit down, make copies or use computers. It Should be open for those who cannot afford to go to Barnes and Noble or El Lubre. And, by the way, there us a lively restaurant open in El Libre. Get it together Germantown!!!

I spent lot of months and hours studing in this nice place, love this library.

I love this library! They have a great selection of non-fiction, fiction and comic books. The folks at the desk were really friendly and helpful. They gave me a 10-minute tour of the library and answered all my questions. Non-residents, i.e if you aren't from Germantown; need to pay 50 dollars for a year and you can borrow 25 items at a time for 3 weeks. Definitely worth every penny if you ask me.
