First General Baptist Church

Grew up in this church. First Pastor, CR Richardson first stayed with my family until they could get moved into their home. My Dad was one of the First Deacons. Other Deacons included R E Martin. Many Pastors over the years included, Clarence Miley, Dale Money, Gerald Garnett, Sam Rogers. The church was first just a little White House. The New Sanctuary, which is the actual building pictured was built by the men of the Church. The white Building was located in what is now the parking lot. The Educational building was built after the Sanctuary. The Educational building burned and was rebuilt ( I believe in about 1972) . I was baptized in this Church and was married in this Church. There has been a lot of sweat and tears here, and lots of love. May God continue to Bless all associated with it, past, present and future.nMay Jesus always be shared and Souls saved!
