The Burkle Estate museum was an awesome experience! My heart and attention was captured from start to finish. Our tour guide was full of knowledge. learning how our ancestors were treated and the tour of the house (specifically the hidden underground door) made the story telling come alive. I walked away with a new appreciation for what our ancestors endured. Will definitely recommend this tour to anyone who has time while visiting Memphis.

Chock full of history and the guides do a great job but they can be overwhelmed at times with all the visitors. That being said, it is well worth a visit. Plan to be there an hour.
