Pioneer Park is beautifully kept up park near downtown Provo. I have been for the Provo Farmers market a few times which is always a good experience. I also met up with a friend in the evening a few weeks ago. There is a splash pad at the park, so if you don't mind happy children then it only adds to the pleasant atmosphere of the park. I always enjoy my time spent at Pioneer Park.

Great park! Love the farmer's market and the water feature. You often see a surprising number of homeless people in the park when there isn't an event here.

Packed with homeless people. Most of them minding their own business: sleeping on the lawn, smoking by the monument, using the bathrooms... making the place unsanitary and not the best spot for little kids in swim suits to hang out. One person drove on a bicycle through the splash pad and nocked my kid off hard to the ground!! Otherwise awesome fountain/splash pad. Play groud and swings. Pavillion. Bathrooms. Sidewalk that circles the whole park. Tall trees. Monument.

Very nice park, small, & seems popular with the families & couples. Though, I didn't fit the demographic, met a man named Jake, and had quite the conversation until way past dark. It was more than coincidental. Will you have the same ethereal experience as myself? Who knows, unless you go?

The playground equipment itself is fine and in pretty good condition. The playground is fenced in. The park itself is beautiful and there are restrooms. However, when I went there were a few homeless people there. I'm not too bothered by that, but one person had their belongings tied up along the fence around the playground, and someone had left an old roll of carpet out on the play equipment which makes me suspect that people are sleeping there at night. I don't blame them, they need a place to sleep, but I didn't feel comfortable being there with my young child. There were also many horseflies and I got bit by one, so we left. We probably won't be going back anytime soon.
