NOC Pigeon Outpost

NOC is awesome! We had the opportunity to raft with several different companies in the area and NOC was by far our favorite. Everyone that works there is amazing. The views along the river are stunning. Our guide was awesome and very conscious of the fact that we had a little one with us. We will definitely be back rafting with them next summer.

Great experience. Two of us were first timers. Geoff was a great guide, sharing information about the river and its surroundings throughout the trip. Class 1-4 rapids. You will get wet! (SEE IMAGE). There was a spot where you could get out of the raft and swim for a few minutes which was nice. NOC definitely appeared to be more professional/organized than the other companies we passed/came across along the way to the outpost and during the trip. They have a large bath house with lavatories, changing rooms, and showers (camp-style, but very clean). Masks required. We never saw anything about gratuities, but it was well deserved. Pigeon Outpost is a great half-day experience for beginner level or families with multiple ages/level of comfort. It's about one hour on the water, with additional time for safety, shuttle, etc. Our guide was knowledgeable about the river and surrounding area (Smokey Mountain National Park). She kept us entertained through the rapids and navigated us back to the NOC take out point. She recommended camping and other nearby outdoor activities. While the NOC experience was 5-star, I think I will choose another outpost to visit in the future, for a longer river trip.

This was our first white water rafting experience and it was amazing! The entire staff is very friendly, well organized, and entertaining. Our safety was always a top priority out on the water. Their attention to COVID guidelines did not go unnoticed, all equipment including the rafts were sanitized after each trip. Our guide Hannah was fantastic! She was very friendly and informative, making our first white water rafting trip one we will never forget. Definitely recommend NOC Pigeon Outpost for first time white water rafters!

This was our first rafting experience ever and it was amazing. Our guide JP was amazing and funny and made our experience 100% worth the money and time. We did the lower and after our expierance we wanted to book an upper for the very next day but we had other reservations. Thank you JP god bless you.
