Visited the park in the off season early spring. It was so peaceful. We had the park to ourselves. It had been raining so the streams were flowing fast. We did the nature trail and walked the camp grounds. Note- restrooms are not open during off season.

Lovely campsite to enjoy the Smoky Mountains. Clean bathrooms and campsites. Well maintained hiking trails.
Very crowded camp. About an hour drive from the good hiking trails. Bathrooms lit like the beacons of Gondor all night which makes stargazing difficult. Bathrooms get cleaned at about 11pm at night, cleaning staff leave the headlights on and motor running on their carts while they clean.
Me and my husband spent 2 nights there, the restroom were clean. Felt safe and relaxed. All you need to do is follow the rules please don’t throw food items anywhere.. put it in the closed bin and you will never experience the bear attack.ud83dudc3b
