My favorite place in my community! Plenty of resources on hand (books, computers, DVDs, audiobooks, & more). Friendly staff who build relationships throughout the community beyond the library.

Small location that packs in a lot. Just about anything you'd want from a large facility you can get here. Staff are warm and friendly. Cozy places to curl up and read. Several computer stations to do your research from or check your email. Books, DVDs, Music. If they don't have it, you also can borrow from other branches & have it available at this branch.

As I sit here eating my orange on this snow day listening to The Bourne Supremacy audiobook, I'm reminded that there are still some good things about our local government. One of which is the Richland County Public Library Eastover Branch.nnIt is about equal distance from my house to get to the Eastover branch as it is to get to the Southeast branch, but there are no lights going to Eastover.nnI pretty much got stared down the first time I showed up in Eastover to visit there newly remodeled library. I don't know if it was because I was white or new guy in a town that's population is all of 100 people. But that only happened the first time, still first impressions are everything.nnIt's always quiet which is nice to have in a Library, and there's no homeless people looking at porn on the computers which is especially nice considering I take my son here. They have a nice little play are for the kids as well, so I can grab my holds and not worry about holding my sons hand every two seconds. I want to clarify that I'm not worried about holding onto him the entire time because he can stay busy playing, not because of the drifters watching porn.nnThe customer service is great w/ different personalities and they are about to learn my name because I frequent them quite often. Kind of like Cheers minus the beverages!
