This psychiatrist's lack of kindness is unbelievable. He is nice in the first session but after that he is rude. He does not respond well to patients asking him questions, interrupts, yells at patients, and certainly does not listen. I have never seen a mental health professional conduct themselves in such a uncaring, unprofessional manner. If someone was experiencing suicidal thoughts this guy probably would push them over the edge. Please do not allow yourself or your loved one to experience the emotional abuse this doctor provides!

Read the review below from Whitney Grimes. I do not know this woman, but my experience was VERY similar. I will be following up with the SC Board of Medical Examiners. If someone was at the edge of suicide and saw him, they would have acted on it. Thank God I’m not! Please beware that he will access your medical records without prior written consent and prepares his verbal attacks well before you get there. This is NOT a man! It’s clear he wants to feel big by tearing others down. Typical behavior of someone with a low male ego. He should thank God daily that he hasn’t been dealt with YET.

Dr. Lowe is really great! He has gotten my meds all straightened out and for the first time in a very long time my anxiety is not off the charts. He genuinely cares and listens. Thank you for this.

Dr Lowe isn’t the person to talk to if you struggle with mental health, ironically. He is in the wrong profession. He’s nice at first, listens (or pretends to) and then verbally attacks. I asked questions and apparently it offended him-this is when he made me cry in his office. He went to his receptionist and lied about what I said, put a ton of words in my mouth and told her that I just didn’t want help, and I thought I knew everything. In my opinion, I’ve never felt so bullied in my life. Aren’t you supposed to talk about how you feel to a psychiatrist without being cut off and criticized? When asked for my notes, the receptionist said “there is great info in there” does that mean he shared my info with his receptionist? If he lied in front of me to her so I don’t know if I want to see what’s in those notes.. I do not recommend, this was a bad experience and it caused an awful backslide in my previously progressing mental health state. However, I know better now-just wish I did before I went!! I wrote this after I calmed down and spoke with someone who knows how to talk to others... honestly I’m still in total disbelief of how I was treated and insulted like the bad guy-but you live and you learn!

Don’t appreciate a loved one calling me crying because this guy was hateful to her and told his receptionist information when he was supposed to be helping her. Maybe he doesn’t understand his job description
