My daughter is only 8, but we are looking at the beginning of a long orthodontic road, including braces in the future. Dr. Raney has been fantastic so far! He called me the day after our regularly scheduled 6 month checkup to let me know he'd been looking more into her x-rays and wanted to take more preventative steps with her to prevent some future complications, and HE was the one who brought up the cost and insurance before I ever even had to ask! In my eyes, that's a very rare quality, as I've had to pry that information out of other doctors before! He understands that this is a concern for most families and takes a proactive approach to finding a financial solution that works for you. He obviously spent time after we left to fully investigate the changes going on with her forming teeth, and went out of his way to personally call me to discuss our options and fully explain the reasons behind why he thought it was the best route. He always takes the time to explain what we are seeing on her images, and makes sure we understand what each of the next steps in her treatment plan will look like before we move on. His entire office staff has always been extremely kind and friendly, and we've never had to wait for an extended time in the lobby before being seen. My daughter has never been afraid to go in for her dental work! That's really a testament to his calm demeanor, too, because my daughter is kind of dramatic when it comes to any kind of painful or scary procedure! She actually looks forward to getting braces! I highly recommend Dr. Raney!

Dr Raney and his staff were wonderful with my daughter. She had to have her braces on for 3 years and D r Raney always explained the process and why she had to have her braces on so long.nHer teeth are beautiful!nI would recommend him and his office staff to anyone.

I had braces for 4 years, and even had jaw surgery. I got my braces off in the fall, and before he took them off, I told him one tooth was still crooked. I could feel it. He said the retainer would fix it since it was minute, and then he took my braces off. I had no retainer for 2 weeks and my teeth moved so much. All of my friends had retainers the day they got their braces off, so I thought it was a little weird. When I got my retainer, it was an exact mold of my mouth when I got my braces off. It did not fix the tooth. Because the tooth was misplaced, it caused another tooth to be as well, and my front teeth shifted forward. I told him, and he told me to wear it another 2 weeks. I did, and when I came back he made a new retainer, but he only corrected the tooth I complained about, and didn’t fix the other, now crooked tooth, that was a result of the first one. He also put in a permanent retainer, and there was glue in the cracks of my teeth, so I couldn’t floss. The glue spots weren’t even placed on each individual tooth. My bottom teeth began to shift, and are now crooked again. He told me that he would remove the permanent retainer because it was broken and give me a removable one, and when I asked for another permanent one, because my dentist recommended I get another one, he told me no. He told my mom we could put braces back on to fix the problem, but I don’t feel like I should be discussing braces when I just got them off 6 months ago after 4 years. This orthodontist does not work as hard as you. He doesn’t do anything extra, and he is very rude. I do not recommend.

Our experience with Dr. Raney and his staff has been excellent. They are always professional and caring. They are punctual with appointments so we never have to wait long. I would highly recommend Dr. Raney.

Dr. Raney and his staff are the best! They have taken excellent care of two of my children. He is a perfectionist- making sure that everything looks great! His chairside manner is so gentle- he makes the most nervous patient feel comfortable. I highly recommend his office to anyone looking for a great orthodontist!
