More hazardous and rundown than rustic. Didn't have high pressure running water, and in some places the hot and cold faucets were switched. There were a couple of cold, no pressure showers before we figured this out. Unfortunately, we didn't understand how steep the stairs were and that it was necessary to use them or a steep incline to get to the main floor. We had several in our group that were challenged to get in and out. The first night there, the smoke alarm in the bedroom down steep stairs (basement) went off at 2 a.m. We couldn't find the reason why, so there wasn't much sleep the rest of the night. The next morning we were surprised to find outlets not covered, loose outlets that wouldn't hold a plug and lots of extension cords. I'm not sure this cabin would pass a safety inspection. The master bathroom upstairs had a unique latch that provided difficulty opening. We would always make sure there was someone on the outside of the door to let us out. It could use a good cleaning, especially dusting of the fans.

More hazardous and rundown than rustic. Watch your step in the downstairs quarters, because the sink, etc., is stepped up. Deck was also uneven. If you're accustomed to hotels, adequate central heat and air, high pressure running water, clean pots and pans, and generally clean and nice-smelling surroundings, then this ain't the place for you.nnI stretched to give the three stars, because the owners seemed so nice on the phone. Never met them personally. I did not appreciate being told of an 11:00 am check out after being told it was noon. Best thing I can say about the place is that it had more than adequate square footage and basic facilities for our family of ten. I'm sorry to say, never again.

Fun old cabin alot of cool stuff

Met the owner before checking in. He was so accommodating! Great experience, very clean and well stocked. Comfortable bed and nicely decorated. Unbeatable views and fair price. Will be back.
