READ THE FINE PRINT before you sign anything when going in to deliver. He delivered my son about 5 years ago. He wouldn’t go over my birth plan with me. He said we’d do it at the next visit, but I ended up going in to labor before then. I just recently requested my medical records and found out he induced my labor with oxytocin, which I did NOT know. Apparently, once you sign you are giving the doctor permission to do whatever he thinks necessary. It was NOT necessary to induce me just to make me deliver faster. I was healthy and had gone into labor naturally and was progressing. After that birth I bled heavily for several months and couldn’t stand for long periods of time because I was in so much pain. I did tear a little on the outside, but it makes me wonder if I had torn my cervix due to them inducing me. They also told me when to push even though I was NOT ready. He also cut the cord before it stopped pulsating which was something I requested he NOT do. I suppose since it was my first birth I had no idea what to expect and figured this was all normal, but it is NOT normal. I have since had my second child. Her birth was completely natural with NO poking and prying and I had a much easier delivery, faster recovery, and hardly any bleeding. I would NEVER use Dr Joslin again knowing what I know now.

He is an awesome Dr. He explains everything and is right to the point. This was my first pregnancy and he and his nurses made my delivery easy. I would always have him as my ob for delivery.

Dr Joslin was my doctor 8 years ago and delivered my 2 grandchildren. He is AWESOME. Sure hate he is retiring.
