PLEASE GIVE HEED:nIn my opinion Dr. Philpot isn't a good doctor! When i went to her for help with back pain she did not listen to me nor give me help to alleviate my problem. When i complained, she got Dr. Ellis (whom I've never meet) involved. And although my health complaints were substantiated with medical proof; xrays proved i have damage to my discs. I was denied help on the very basic of levels. THIS IS IMPORTANT. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I ASKED HER FOR PAIN RELIEF. SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO GIVE ME PILLS. I ALSO ASKED FOR BACK PATCHES AND WAS DENIED. I was told to take otc meds which did not work that's why i made the appt with her. I then had to go to the ER bc she would not help with my problem. More money spent but I was helped immediately! I then choose to switch to another doctor at FIRETOWER MEDICAL OFFICE for a follow up and was helped by Dr. C. Jackson the new doctor. This new doctor and staff members saw me and treated me with respect, care, concern and most importantly helped with my problem. BUT I have since learned that she will Not help me in support of Dr. Philpot. Although she did help me in the beginning. When i asked If she would take me on as a new she agreed but then said in support of Dr. Philpot she would not see me. In my opinion she chose her co-worker with seniority over continuing my care. I was then told by Dr. Ellis, that since i didn't get along with Dr. Philpot i could no longer be seen by any ECU family practice doctors. There would have been no problems if Dr. Philpot helped me! That was the complaint. If 2 other doctors saw the need to help me why did she deny me help? Unless i feel, bc my race was a factor. I personally feel it is blatant Racism. My pain was not taken seriously. I feel my race was the primary reason for denial of services from Dr. Philpot and Dr. Ellis. And Dr. Jackson in support of her coworkers. Smh. I personally wouldn't recommend any one of these doctors. Banned from practices that none of them work at. If that isn't the heavy hand of racism i don't know what is. I also don't want a doctor who goes with the flow rather than stand up for what is right. I remember when patient care was #1, not anymore. I DO NOT RECOMMEND FIRETOWER MEDICAL OFFICE. DR. PHILPOT IN MY OPINION, CARE AND COMPASSION HAS CHANGED; ICED OVER. NUMB TO THE PATIENTS PROBLEMS. BC SHE'S HAD SENIORITY 20YRS THERE, IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OTHER DOCTORS TO SEE OTHER THAN THROUGH HER EYES. IT'S SAD WHEN DECENT, BASIC HELP IS DENIED.

Have been a patient of Kelly Philpots for many years, changed appointments , waited for her and stood by her when her daughter passed away. I don't feel over the past couple of years she has given me the best treatment. She was my friend, I thought..I made things and gave to Raileys Army to support her. I have never abused the meds she gave me, today I had a terrible migraine that I have had for 2 days, I called her office so that she could give me something for relief, she told me to take Aleve!!! Or got to ER (which I can't afford to make a bill I can't pay, an she knows this) or go see her tomorrow) Now that really did nothing for me tonight!! I have had migraines before, 1st one in about 4-5 yrs..I know the difference in a headache and migraine. Needless to say, I will never go back to ECU Physicians!! NOT the way to treat your Patients!!!!

Hands down, best Physician I’ve experienced here in Greenville.
