It was good. We had a light meal after a funeral.
Have eaten at Oak River Bistro previously for an appetizer lunch. It was very good and unique. Unfortunately we ate dinner there tonight. We were very disappointed. Marinara sauce was little more than poorly spiced canned diced tomatoes. Flounder Florentine with basil cream sauce lacked basil and cream with watery spinach and flavorless flounder. The saving grace for the lasagna was the sausage that added flavor to the marinara, however the portion should have been more generous. The pasta with sausage in marinara was again disappointing because of the previously mentioned marinara.
Ambiance and service great ad well as food.
My family and I had a wonderful dinner here. The out side surrounding was so pretty over looking the River. What a lovely atmosphere in side the Bistro. Our Waitress was very pleasant. I ordered Shrimp Parm with Penna it was very good. We all enjoyed our food. Just a couple of things I would have enjoyed more is a small loaf of bread warmed with the Olive oil. Not the little tiny pieces of bread. And the Colamari appetizer was very skimmpy. The taste was very good but for the price way too little. But all in all I give you 5 stars for such a lovely evening.
Jackie was an astonishing waitress!! Recommend the best dishes and gave outstanding service! We celebrated our 15 year anniversary this evening and it couldn't have gone any better!!! Make this your next date night and ask for Jackie!! You will not be disappointedud83dudc97
