My brother has been a resident at Madison for over a year and it is, by far, the nicest and cleanest facility I have visited. Staff there are wonderful!

An absolutely amazing place for your loved ones. It is very clean and well taken care of! Walking through the halls every patient seems happy! Nurses and CNA’s actually care and interact with the patients and are very encouraging. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is worried about their loved one. You will leave here knowing you made the right choice!

I have a family member residing at this facility now for over a year. I am almost a daily visitor. The facility is very clean and the staff very polite and caring with residents. Any concerns I have are usually addressed promptly. I enjoy the tender, caring attitudes expressed with my family member. I highly recommend this facility.

Visited my brother there recently and I was so very impressed with the nurses and the people that worked there. I felt my brother is in good hands there even though I wish he didn't have to be in a place like that. Pleasantly surprised by the care and good feelings I got from the place.nThat have several patios that you can sit an visit on. Didn't have to sit in the room with another patient nearby.nI was very worried that it was going to be bad but I really felt comfortable there. Keep up the good work and take care of my beloved brother.

May 2017 - Came from out of state to visit my family member. The staff was nice for the most part, except this one staff member who posed herself as high level. I checked my family member out of the home for the day to go to his home and have lunch in a nearby town. After we got back, she told me that under no condition was I allowed to check him out. I explained to her that I signed paperwork at the nurse's station, and all seemed legit, but she said that my family member was not allowed to be checked out. (She said this in front of another family member who was there to visit too - this conversation SHOULD have taken place in private.)nnJune 2017 - About a month later, I went to visit again. I was met at the front desk by this same staff member who told me that I couldn't stay more than 4 hours at a time, and I was not going to be taking him even outside to the porch area. I did agree, and after staying for 2 hours, I left the facility (there was no way to check out.. just a way to check in) and went to the nearby town to get a burger. I came back about 30 mins later and was told I couldn't see him again that day. He was sitting outside on the porch, so I joined him there. I was also told that I was not to touch my family member or even kiss him. I then started to think that maybe this woman just makes up rules as she goes along.nnShe also told me on numerous occasions that my family member will never get out of this nursing home, and that he will die there. I'm not a doctor or anything, but he walks, talks, and thinks quite well and he's not even all that old. He's in the prime of his years, and should be enjoying retirement by now. When I was there in May, a man came in the day room and performed a competency test and said that my family member needed to change his power of attorney and take the person off of it that's currently responsible.nnIf the other staff didn't take such good care of him, I would have him out of there so fast it would make that one woman's head spin! I admit, it does seem that he is very well taken care of there, but this woman needs to get over herself.
