My physical therapist is AMAZING.nThe administrative staff is... frustrating. They seem more concerned about being able to bill my insurance for the max number of visits, than what my body can actually handle. They also call me super early in the morning despite me telling them they're disturbing my rest because I have trouble sleeping. I wish my therapist had her own practice, honestly!
Lovin' our Five Boys! (03/21/2019)
We attended physical therapy for one of our sons. The therapists were great; the only problems I had was they are obviously not on the same page when multiple therapists are seen. I was unaware of this problem until the end of our almost year of therapy. The reason we stopped attending was because of displacement from Hurricane Florence as well as multiple illnesses that prevented us from making appointments. Please note they have a company policy for having no sick clients or siblings attend appointments so every time either he or a sibling I had to bring along with me were sick, I had to cancel. When I had my very first no call/no show, i was bumped to the list where I couldn’t schedule ahead anymore which meant i would never be able to get the 4:15 slot we needed. I spoke to Tim about everything a few times; he was uncaring, rude and disrespectful. He kept using his own personal life as an example as to why my concerns or situation had no barings. When I mentioned this was our very first no show/no call he proceeded to tell me we had missed 25% of our appointments over the course of the year, all of which i called and cancelled immediately after knowing we needed to cancel and all of which were due to illnesses of either the child being seen or his younger siblings i had to bring along with us. He kept interrupting me and over talking me. I finally just hung up, called back and told him to discharge us over voicemail. He never called back, thankfully. It turns out they weren’t even addressing the main concerns for my child anyway which was upper body/ they apparently had been focusing on lower body but no one bothered to inform me of this; which Tim informed me was MY fault. Whatever, save yourself the trouble and find a company who actually CARES.

I’m not sure why this location has such low reviews! My 16 month old was referred here by his pediatrician and it is the best decision we’ve made. My son has had issues with his left leg dragging, being weak, and unable to apply pressure. Since going here my son is now 17 months and is walking! He still goes as he needs strengthening but I absolutely love the front desk and his PHysical therapists FLO and NIKOLE. They are amazing and very patient with my baby. I highly recommend this location. As long as you are prompt and keep to your appointments that are scheduled; you shouldn’t have any issues.

Unrealistic and discriminating against my children, Lindsey.York, and the supervisor who's office is next to the children's waiting area. My son who needs and was receiving therapy 3 day out of the week was unable to continue his sessions due to my children's natural and reasonable behavior at young age of 2 and 3 years old. Note my children do not attend school or daycare and are very excited to visit the children's waiting area here at Onslow Memorial Hospital Rehabilitation. Also note, my children have never broken anything or harmed anyone. They have spilled some water while I always took the responsibility to clean up unless staff insisted to clean it up.nThere is a staircase of about 4 steps high with rials to hold onto about 5 to 7 feet in front of the children's waiting room door entrance. My 3 year old found this fascinating while my 2 year old followed. They also have training balls, which all looks like play balls. I quickly would take the balls away without them disturbing the environment. Most of the old people smile and would say something sweet about my children.nI found it extremely disturbing when both Lindsey and the man next to the children's room gave me an ultimatum. If I cannot control my children, this clinic will not be fit for my children to come for therapy. So either train my children to not take interest in things that make them curious, and take away the engery down to walking level. I told Lindsay respectfully in all honesty, I cannot control my children like robots and program them to behave to their liking. If the stairs case, running and curiously is given them a scene of an unsafe environment, then they should not look at my kids as the issue but what is causing them in the wrong direction. The stairs and therapy balls set right next to the children's waiting room. There were more professional ways to brainstorm the situation without Lindsey being unrealistic and discriminating against my children. My son who needs and was receiving therapy 3 day out of the week was unable to continue his sessions due to my children's natural and reasonable behavior at young age of 2 and 3 years old. Note again, my children have never broken anything or harmed anyone, we always left the waiting room tidy clean.nnI found it extremely disturbing when both Lindsey and the man gave me an unrealistic ultimatum. There was not working it out. I was tears and frustrated that both these people gave me no choice but to tell them honestly I can only try to influence the behavior they demand but I cannot control them like a robot to be reprogrammed. They are 2 and 3 years old. My son was doing so well receiveing therapy with Amy. Regardless, we moved out of state and wasn't going to be able to take him to therapy much longer. The way they ended it, was in a discriminating, making a distinction between my 2 children and the other patients. It is unrealistic to expect and only accept those who meet their favorable expectations. IF there was a complaint from other patient, there should of been a report sent to me, which there was NOT. Telling me there was in fact no issues. I never received an email or a copy of warnings for me to sign and acknowledge. Just one day, Lindsey came to me with her very rude ultimatum. In my own words, Fix your kids or your not welcome. This all happened in 2018. I'm still disturbed at their treatment to push me out without evaluating the situation and including me in the details for a solution. Never received an apology from the manager, he was very supportive, but I can see why, seems he might have a strong connection with Lindsey. I had no chance in working it out with two people strongly against me. Again, there were no records of complaints brought to my attention throughout my son's time here. That is a fact! Let them justify themselves but know, they showed discriminating practices. Discrimination is not just race, sex, and religion, when they make a distinction in favor of or against. In my situation, against.
