We visited Foscue Plantation October 22, 2020 and it's only open on Thursdays. The two ladies that gave us the tour are very knowledgeable and interesting. The antiques inside are mostly originals to this antebellum house. The house and contents are in excellent condition. We learned so much and had a very fun tour. We definitely recommend this tour for anyone interested in architecture, antiques, and/or history.

My husband and I went for a tour at 10:00 am today of the Foscue Plantation. The tour lasted for 2 hours which we thought was much too long. The two ladies that led the tour showed us great hospitality, but we thought they needed a better script to follow in what they were saying. Mostly we learned about every piece of furniture in the house and where it was acquired. We learned who was in every picture, and everything about the person in the picture. We didn't need to know where every piece of furniture was bought or which pieces were original. In the beginning a short summary could have explained that some pieces were original and other pieces were of the time period. We must say that the house is beautifully furnished and well kept. The attic was my favorite place to see. Please know that we were glad we went on the tour, but just suggesting improvements for future groups. Tell more about how the family lived on the plantation and make more of a story out of it.
