I have recently been having ear pain because of fluid build up. She prescribed me a spray to help with my allergies which did clear the fluid. However, I was still having pain. She was quick to diagnose me with Myofascial Pain Syndrome. She gave me a nice big pamphlet of information and recommended I get a night guard. She also explained why I was having pain still because of MPS. I got a night guard and my pain has been cut in half. I rarely feel any pain anymore. It has been a gift to not be in pain everyday. I would really recommend to see her if you have painful allergies like me.

Dr. Shannon Hunter put in a ear tube for me after chronic water behind my eardrum. She also removed my tonsils. I will continue to seek health care through her about my sinus issues.

Dr Hunter was an answer to prayer! My daughter has rapid hearing loss. We tried other doctors but got no answers. As I observed her hearing disappear each day we finally found Dr Hunter. She moved rapidly to resolve the issue. After checking all that she knew she quickly referred us to Duke . We are here today to hopefully receive answers. Dr. Hunter strongly supports us on our journey. We are so thankful we found her. Highly recommend her!

Dr. Hunter changed my life! At 37, my ears, nose and throat have always been a problem. I have never been able to find a primary care physician willing to refer me for an ENT consult until the last year. After multiple bouts of strep, tonsillitis, sinus troubles, etc. I was finally, finally referred. My initial visit was thorough and any questions or concerns were addressed and my mind was completely at ease. One look into my throat and Dr. Hunter was ready to save me from myself! She told me that I would hate her for about 10 days after the procedure and while I know she wanted me to be realistic, knowing my history, hate was not something I thought I could feel for the only person ever willing to help me! The procedure was over and I was headed home before I knew it. Recovery has been not the most fun, but I absolutely would not discourage anyone with a similar history and dire need to see her. I fully believe that her acceptance, compassion, and prompt response to possible post-op emergencies will have a profoundly positive effect on the rest of my life! Thank you so much for helping me, for giving me back a quality of life that makes life worth living! My family was even cocal about her attentiveness to their questions, concerns, and worries. We all felt very comfortable in a vwry uncomfortable situation.
