July 23, 2020nI want to take a second to share with all of you our birth experience. We were truly blessed.nn8pm on Wednesday July 22 we checked into The Baby Place at Advent Health. We tried to close our eye for a few hours, knowing our little man would be making his appearance before we knew it. We were woken up to 6 nurses rushing into the room and the monitor beeping out of control. I was four cm dilated, having intense contractions and Briars heart rate was dropping because my labor was progressing so fast.nnI was turned every way possible, oxygen was placed over my face as they brought his heart rate back up. It’s 3am, Dr Arcara was called in. She came into my room and said to me - if his heart rate keeps doing this we are going to have to do an emergency C section.nnI immediately grabbed my phone and text my mother and close family to please pray as hard as they could for God to cover us and his will be done.nnDoctor Arcara came into our room around 6am, she told me she was going to have to break my water and place a heart monitor on Briars head. The next thing I knew, after my water broke the contractions came on full swing. An hour later the anesthesiologist entered our room to start my epidural.nnBlake held me and talked me through each deep breath and contraction as the epidural was placed. My nurse looked at me and told me if I felt intense pressure to let her know because it would be time to push. His heart rate was finally stable.nnI finally was able to shut my eyes for a little while. Around 10am I told my nurse I had felt pressure. Sure enough, I was fully dilated and ready to push! ufffcnnAnybody who knows Blake and I knows we said he was not allowed to watch Briar come out. - Boy did that go out the window, and we are so grateful it did. ud83eudd23 Blake held my leg as I pushed, each time cheering me on with encouraging words. He was fascinated at being able to experience his child being born.nnMy last push our sweet baby was here! Dr Arcara immediately laid him on my chest. The whole world stopped. He starred up at me with his mouth wide open, I asked my nurse how soon could I breastfeed. She replied as soon as I wanted. Sure enough he latched perfectly his very first try!nnI could not have asked for a better birth experience. The same doctor who delivered me, delivered Briar. Dr Arcara. She was with me every step of the way in this journey and always respected my wishes. I am so thankful for the nurse that held my hand while I pushed. The team of doctors and nurses at Advent health made sure to do everything in their power to create the perfect bonding experience for our little family.nnThe positive word of encouragement from all of their staff, the hospitality shown and the genuine love was outstanding. Dr. Arcara lives up to her reviews! She is a brilliant doctor and person. She really listens to her patients and explains things thoroughly so you know what is happening and what to expect. She makes you feel so comfortable. I would HIGHLY recommend her!

Dr. ARCARA is a level headed keep it real doctor. The biggest & best thing about her is SHE LISTENS!! You can't find that anymore. She won't order a bunch of tests you don't need either. All around great ud83dudc4dud83dudc4dud83dudc4dud83dudc4dud83dudc4d

Such a wonderful doctor. I got recommended to her from a friend after I had a bad experience with a different obgyn at a different practice. She referred me over to this practice and I love it. I moved to Charlotte two years ago and I still drive up here to see Dr. Arcara. I would recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Acara is the best and makes the best decisions. I trust Dr Acaras decisions. She's caring and nice and has taught me alot of good. Gives me the best recomendations. I love to go see Dr Acara she always helps me to feel better.nwould highly recommend her.
