1. They think all women of color are on Medicaid and they proceed to treat you as suchn2. Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone or return a voicemail other than the appointment extensionn3. No follow-thru whatsoever on test results, referrals...only prescriptionsn4. The only good thing going for them are their midwivesn5. One physician would tell you one thing and another will tell you something completely different- their record-keeping is uselessn6. I wouldn’t wish this office or quality of “care” on my worst enemy

I have ALWAYS had a good experience here with all of the staff and my doctor whom I have been seeing for many years. Wouldn't go any where else for my gyn check up. My doctor takes his time to listen to my concerns and explains things to me so that I can understand what all is going on.

I went to the Health Department in Oxford during my first pregnancy and received way better care then I have here. First problem you can never get anyone on the phone unless your scheduling an appointment so when I would call for test results they would forward my call to nurse triage, (who never answers) to leave a message that never got returned. I called 3 separate days leaving messages for prenatal vitamins earlier in my pregnancy and had to literally show up in person in order to get someone to write me a prescription. I prefer the Health Department any day. They call you about your test results I don’t have to go fishing for them, they always had vitamins in hand to give them to you whether you needed them or not, and I could get out of there in 45 minutes. So what if the facility is new they suck at Maria Parham Women’s Health and I will not be delivering in Henderson.

The front staff are rude. The doctor refused to listen to my complaint of pain told me I wasn't hurting in my kidney and I am a RN and know where my kidney is. I ended up in the ER later that night. My kidney was blocked by a cyst on my ovary and a fibroid tumor. Urologist told this office what the blockage was from. They told me the Urologist was wrong. I went to get a second opinion at Duke ended up with surgery with exactly what the Urologist said. I got kidney hydroneprosis because they did not listen. I will not go back.
