Been a member 50 plus years .but their customer service and lack of follow through .had me driving 10 months without insurance ...and it was their error...

Hello,nI just wanted to say how disappointed I was with the non existent help I received. I have been a member with Farm Bureau going on 14 years. I have probably only ever had 1 ticket and have only had to use insurance when a deer ran out in front of me. My daughter got hit by another driver and was not at fault. I received NO HELP from my agent at all. It was ridiculous. I called and asked for help. I gave him numbers for the other insurance. He called got no one no help and his response was for me to call a lawyer. REALLY? I am sorry I was under the impression that he was my agent and that it was his job to call and talk with other insurance on my behalf. That it was his job to help me so I wasn't stressed and to do the work on my behalf. Clearly that was a wrong assumption. I would call and ask questions and he was never in. This is a common occurrence. You can never get any help. I have asked numerous times to have my agent changed to no avail. I would email and ask questions and get the response that they would talk to my agent and see what I should do with the paperwork other insurance co sent. Said they would show the paper work that they sent to my agent and let me know what to do. But as usual out of sight out of mind. No one ever called or got back to me on what I should do wth the paperwork they sent. You can go in and the only people working are the women while the younger guy sits around talking to other agents. I walked in today and both women were on the phone while younger guy was talking to a field adjuster. No one said hello, etc. How can I help etc. One lady finally said someone will be right with you. I pay way to much, 3000-4000 a year, not to ever use it, and when someone hits my daughter get no help. When your daughter could have been killed and you are stressed from the situation this is when your insurance agent should be there to walk your through everything to make it a smooth transaction. To help with the stress not add to it. Well today I canceled my Auto and home insurance after 14 years. I will not tolerate paying 3-4 thousand a year and never getting any help when I need it. It's all good and well while your paying and never need anything but heaven help you when you need help. 14 years down the tube. Do you realize how much money I have paid yearly and never had claims. Tsk Tsk on Farm Bureau. I will not give any good reviews to a company who is not there in your time of need. Especially when it's not even your fault.
