Went here as a child a few times when visiting my grandmother from out of town who used to live across the street from the church. A few of my relatives have preached here, got married here and have made building improvements over the years. My mother went here as a young girl. I have many fond memories of this place. My grandmother was a member of the church at least since the early 50's until she passed in 1995. My grandmother cleaned the church regularly for many years. I had not been back to White Oak since my grandmothers funeral in 1995. I revisited White Oak in 2016 on a Sunday evening. I was amazed when I walked in, everything looked as though it had never been touched since I was a little boy. I tried to hide my tears as a flood of good memories from my childhood came back, I was so happy it still looked like the same little church I knew as a young boy. I sat at a back pew and listened to that evenings sermon.This brought back so many good memories I had there back in the 70's and a few years in the 80's. I hope to visit once again soon..
