I pulled my hamstring and Tim Icard told me to come by and he would take a look at it if I wanted. I walked in limping the whole way and after about 45 mins of work I was able to walk out normally and pain free with several exercises in hand to help keep my pain in check. I genuinely was surprised how well everything he suggested worked. Knowledge is a clear 10/10. I’ll be for sure going to my follow up appointment.

A few months ago, I hurt my back at work while lifting a pt with admittedly poor set-up. Being a PT myself, I did what I could on my own to alleviate the severe pain and spasms initially present. After about a week, the muscle spasms went away and the somewhat tolerable but constant pain localized to the left side of my back. After a few more weeks the constant pain had all but gone away completely and I felt safe going back my normal activities. However, I continued to have ROM deficits and with even a small amount of flexion anywhere in my spine I would get the same, sharp pain on the left side of my low back. I enjoy being active and this did not jive with my lifestyle. I went to PT school with Tim, so decided to go in for a visit and see what he thought. I could immediately tell Tim had learned a thing or five since graduating PT school! He knew what he was talking about and had the expert knowledge I needed to come up with a solution. After one session utilizing hands on techniques, movement, and dry needling, Tim was able to reduce my pain and increase my ROM. Tim also provided me with a few simple exercises to alleviate my pain and facilitate healing in order get back to doing what I want. Thanks, Tim!

I knew Tim before he opened Joint Venture PT. I’ve always been impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Being a physical therapist myself, I was always on the other side helping others rehab from injury and never thought about what it would be like if it happened to me! This changed when I fractured my tibia last summer. I waited around for a while and was doing some rehab on my own but I felt that I was missing out by not seeking help when I was down and low, feeling like I would never get back out and run again! There is no one else I would have wanted to see other than Tim. Before I went to see him for an evaluation, I was still very stiff and feeling pain when I bent my knee. In one visit, Tim had me at full range of motion and NO PAIN with some hands on manual techniques and dry needling!!! I cannot thank Tim enough for his help and giving me the confidence to get back out there and run, hike, and do everything I love to do to stay sane!

Went to Joint Venture Physical Therapy to try a dry needling technique for pain relief on my bone-on-bone CMC joint. Dr. Tim Icard explained the science behind dry needling for pain relief and, as he had treated me in the past for other muscular issues, I felt confident that he could reduce my pain level if it was at all possible. With two 'needlings' in the space of 5 minutes, the pain in my thumb was almost completely gone and has remained so for 5 days. I highly recommend this technique as well as this therapy practice.

Dr. Icard has been amazing for me. I had reached a plateau during my recovery from cervical spine surgery and shoulder/bicep surgery just three months afterwards. The last remaining obstacle was the bicep and deltoid. I could not lift weight, had limited range of motion and the bicep would painfully cramp and spasm with minimum engagement or resistance. After after a couple of appointments where a lot of questions were asked and attempted movements/rotations, Dr. Icard began to tie all the various issues together and decided to focus on the radial nerve. He tried several different exercises and experimental moves to relieve the stress on the nerve. My pain is so far reduced by 75% and my range of motion and strength is finally improving. Dr. Icard kept trying different theories until he hit the spot. So grateful for his professional curiosity, enthusiasm and desire to help his patients.
