Oakley/South Asheville Library

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Nice local library feel.

This is one of the smaller branch libraries, and is located in an older building. What I like about this location is they have parking. If the top level is full there is parking below by a park. This has been a problem for me at some of the locations recently but not here. They have a big selection of young adult books and while their adult section is smaller they seem to have a nice mix of books. Also, I’m able to have books from other libraries in the system sent there for pick up, and I’m then able to avoid the parking issues with some branches. They often have a nice display of books around a theme as well which I enjoy seeing.

One of the best libraries in Buncombe County.

I have gone to this branch for a very long time and it has always been consistent in friendly assistance and convenient.

I use several libraries in the Buncombe County and Oakley is my favorite. Yes the library is small and in an older building, but the Librarians here are very welcoming and more knowledgeable about technology that I've seen elsewhere. They are always willing and happy to help.
