John is not just a master and forerunner of his trade, he is the originator of his style. You can't get this dope gear anywhere else. The thoughts and emotions that go into his work are timeless, suitable as a heirloom or trinket of everlasting adoration. I think I have him figured out sometimes, then I see the light play off of a favorite piece and it's like the very first time I've seen it.
