Dr. Emily A. Diznoff, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Diznoff for a very long time. The begining of our medical relationship was great, with her being very helpful and knowledgeable during our visits. Over time, our visits started to feel extrmemly rushed, and the level of care seemed to decline rapidly. It became increasingly difficult for me to see her (with earliest appointments being 3-4 months from my appointment request) and it was impossible to reach her over the phone/attempted voicemails. When I finally was able to see her, she started 'changing her mind' about certain methods, medical suggestions, and medications we were working with. I agreed with the indication that if the sudden changes did not prove successful, we could return to our prior established methods of maintaining my physical and mental health. Not only was I misled through every aspect of the long-term plans we had established (which led me to extreme physical and mental issues) but she also just stopped seeing me for appointments- she would essentially transfer me to a nurse to visit with. I was well aware that she was in the early stages of changing practices, and it became very clear to me that I was of no concern to her, despite our long history together as doctor and patient. After she did transfer practices, there was no attempt to assist me with the transistion in which I became denied my medications with very little answers as to what to do about it. This is dangerous to the human body and mind.nI rated her with 2 stars- not 1 star- for the simple fact that she is a knowlegable doctor, just not one who cares about her patients. Also, there were other factors involved, such as insurance plan changes with her new practice, and the fact that It has been a few months since I had been seen; but it took months to ACCTUALLY make an appointment so these factors became irrelavant to me and I am now without birth control all of a sudden along with various other medications that my body is suddenly being denied of. I am also looking for a different doctor and practice all together. I would not recommend Dr. Emily Diznoff, nor would I recommend her previous practice, Asheville Family Medicine.
