Midwest Institute

I am almost embarrassed to admit that I graduated from this circus of a school. I had already paid for everything by the time I realized what was going on here. It’s an absolute joke. The staff is unorthodox, unprofessional, there is no communication, high turn over rates of staff, and everything is somehow “not working”, and you will pay too much for your certificate of completion only to realize you could have paid that to attend a more reputable institution that you could feel proud of. Just when I thought I was done, I requested my certificate three different times and waited over a year to finally receive it (it seriously doesn’t even look legitimate) Do your research, read student reviews and stay far away from here.

I wish I had done research on schools before I went to Midwest Institute. I was lied to by the recruiter from day one. I went there for Medical billing and coding. I was told I could make $18 or more an hour which was the biggest lie they told me. When I went through my internship I was told I would be lucky if I made $10 an hour. I went through four different teachers, if that's what you want to call them, the whole time I was there. After I finished their course the job placement was a joke. They told me they tried to call me several times with job I could interview for, but they couldn't confirm the phone number they were callin . My phone number never change and I had no miss calls or voicemail. Now I have student loans I can't afford and I am still working in the same field I was working in before I went back to school.

I absolutely LOVE working here. I have been here since December and this has been the best job I have ever had. The staff, the environment, the instructors they all make it a great place to work. It's like a little family! I have never had a place that I would wake up and be excited to get to work and enjoy myself throughout the day before this. I am very busy with working and making sure my job gets done, but when I need help someone is always willing to assist me! It is my pleasure to be here and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon!

Without the flexible hours of being able to choose day or night classes and the help of the amazing staff I would of never graduated while working full time. Midwest made school easy which has never been a thing for me. Every staff member is willing to help you in anyway they can. They helped me find my internship which then turned into my first dental assisting job and I could not have done it with out their help and support. I would highly recommend people visit Midwest and allow them to help you get your career started.

Midwest Institute is one of the best schools Ive been to! In the Medical Assistant program, you learn what you need to be successful in the field and nothing less. The teacher at the Earth City campus genuinely cares about her students and delves into their lives as Medical Assistants to make sure we are trained and ready. The staff is incredible, the programs are exciting and competitive, and the other students are encouraging and helpful. If you want to go somewhere where the teachers care about you and your education, go to Midwest Institute!
