Half Price Books

Best book store I've ever been to! The books are usually in such great conditions for used books and the prices are so reasonable, you will not find better. I love books with character to them and you can find alot of interesting ones here. I've also traded in books here, although the cash value is always super low, the trade in value is decent and I can usually pick up a few new ones in exchange for my older volumes. I've also found signed copies of some of my favorites here and they are in lovely condition.

I went here for the first time and the prices were amazing and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. It was such a peaceful and relaxing experience. I will definitely come here for all my book needs from now on!

I love this store! Every time I go into the store, there’s always a staff member either waiting by the door or behind the counter to say hello, welcome to our store! They are so friendly! I know that when I go into the store, I start picking up movies, books, and maybe even some cd’s that I would love to buy, but when it comes to the time to purchase the items, I have to put things on hold, or put them back on the shelves because I can’t make up my mind what I want to buy.

This store is great! I’ve brought books that my Son has read and outgrown, board games, cds, DVD’s..when you bring them in, the staff is helpful and friendly. The store is clean and organized. They give you a choice to walk around the store or come back to pick up any items that they may not be interested in. I usually have no problem walking around the store, because I enjoy looking at their unique items! They carry an array of new products and nostalgia. My oldest Son is now into collecting vinyls, and they carry them as well! Great store!

I live and Illinois and was in the area and decided to stop in since I haven't been to this location. I mainly visit their location off of Delmar Blvd and I-170 in Clayton MO. I was looking for a few books to complete a collection and the staff member who assisted me was very friendly, one of the books I was looking for was in stock in a one of their stores in a different state and she offered to order it for me and have it shipped to my house. I declined this offer and decided after getting home I should've had her do submit the order, because I ordered the book from their website.nnI have to agree with the comments regarding selling items to them, they don't give you a fair value for the books/items you bring in too sell. In my opinion you would probably make more on selling the books through eBay, or some other method.
