Wyandotte High School

For all those nay-sayers that seem to think public schools - especially in Wyandotte County and MO - are terrible...sorry, think again! I'm a seasoned educator and could not rave more about the staff, curriculum, resources, etc. available at Wyandotte HS!! The administrators are super - the Principal and several Vice Principals are caring and patient...the counselors go above-and-beyond for the students...there are many 'communities' that focus on what the students will be pursuing in college...the 'college center' has many opportunities for students to seek scholarships, internships, etc. -- even the campus officers are fantastic! The school has real pizazz - as it's a historic landmark, has the fireplaces roaring in the winter, and several gardens in the spring! Clean and quiet hallways in-between classes, too!

So I just got a new phone with a Eastern Nebraska Area code and I keep getting calls from this high school. I've made it a point to call the lady in charge of attendance, the school, I've even answered and explained in no uncertian terms that I am not old enough to have a child in high school. Apparently they don't care. As long as they have a number to call, it doesn't matter if it's the wrong one. So your child could skip school all they want if the school is dialing the wrong number and the school apparently doesn't care.nnIf you don't care about your child, feel free to send them here, because apparently the school doesn't either.

This school is not bad, but a good part of the students make it a bad experience to be attending at this school. There's definitely without a doubt much better schools in KC than Wyandotte High School where you can send your children to.

The receptionist are more nice then they use to be. Helpful in fact.

The teachers need to work on their teaching skills.
