Mid-Continent Public Library - Parkville Branch

I just visited the place today and the renovations are well done! A huge transformation from before. Friendly staff, easy access to computers and services, all in one convenient location. After months of closing, it is wonderful to visit one of my favorite hangout spots again!

This Parkville location is easy to find, convenient to other businesses, grocery, etc. Good parking. Selection is great, books, magazines and electronic media. I found several things I like, available on the shelves, and used the convenient self checkout. This branch provides plastic bags for reuse, to get those books together for the trip to and from your car. Happy place.

Really enjoy this library even though it is smaller than others. They even have cool events for your kids. Me and my daughter read a lot and often I will get several heavy books to last a little longer than a few days. Giving it this rating because two young Librarians at the desk saw me pass with a basket of books and said under their breath how they’d never see those books again in a very condescending tone. I turned so they would know I heard them and they seemed surprised so I’m sure it wasn’t meant for me to hear. If you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all. I return my books on time guys relax.

This is a great library! The staff are friendly and helpful. It's clean and inviting. There are spaces to sit and read or study. There are public computers and wifi. They have programs for all ages and a good selection of books. It's easy to request titles. Checking out and returning books is simple and painless.

Big selection of toys and DVDs for kids. I love they way they have the books in the kids section set up.
