I actually just use the parking lot so this five star review May unfairly skew the results higher than they should be. I can with great confidence, however, endorse the parking lot as I did use it and it was useful to me. I would go back. In fact, it's relatively safe to say, that I will go back. I saw other people. What's important here is that we all come together and support the University. They've been through a lot. Daddy's you paid the Monies now send us the honeys.
The Fred Rust Ice Arena is located on South College Avenue on the campus of The University of Delaware in Newark.nnOver the years, the arena has been home base for some international figure skating legends, like Tara Lipinski. Though it’s often reserved for hockey matches and figure skating competitions, it’s frequently open to the public as well.nnIce skating not only burns tons of calories, but it’s a fun way to spend a few hours, especially when the weather isn’t conducive to outdoor activities.nnSkates are available to rent on-site, and tickets to scheduled events may be purchased online or at the door.
Great facility! We came here for a field trip! The music and lights were great and we had a blast! The skates are okay. I got the figure skates. They are easier to control. The hockey skates can go faster but they are harder to control...nnWe came here in January and the rink was still decorated for the holidays. It looked splendid!nn(I used to take lessons here but my skates are too small for me. They also have summer camp here too.)
Fun place for the family. Summer ice skating camp was super fun for my seven year old. Winter skating was so much fun around Christmas and new years, too. They have a winter theme and dim the lights so it is like skating outside after dark. It is also a fun place for a date.
Always a fun place to go to whether it's public skating or watching the University of Delaware play ice hockey...not a bad seat in the house.
