My experience with Dr. DeMuth was a very good one. I was sent to him after a fall from a ladder and had a badly broken wrist. The Emergency Room was not able to set my wrist properly even after two tries. ER said I would need a metal plate put in.nnI truly love playing guitar, keyboard, flute and fiddle and am in a band that plays out usually once or twice a month.nnI remember being in his office several times crying hysterically and worrying that I might never be able to play music again because it hurt so bad and I did not feel I was progressing in my range of motion. Even some of the easy movements I used to take for granted were exceedingly hard or impossible.nnHe encouraged me to keep working at it and I have gradually gotten the music back !!nnRange of motion will never be 100 %, but I am so very grateful to be able to use it and to play music !!nnAs a surgeon I feel that he did an excellent job repairing my wrist.nnI am very thankful !!nnMary

Had an Appointment with Doctor DeMuth today ref to sore right knee, Met with Dr DeMuth in a timely manner at his Elkton Office where he checked my knee and explained several options that could rectify my discomfort without any Surgery or Invasive technique ‘s. Doctor DeMuth took his time and made me feel very comfortable during my visit with him. Very friendly atmosphere even while dealing with the Covid-19 .

I agree with previous reviewer. I was not impressed with bedside matter. Think twice - not only because of bedside matter, but because there is a special code that is used to charge the insurance company for surgery, on your first visit for fractures, that leaves you with a $110 bill - payable to Demuth, whether or not you continue treatment after the first visit. At no time was I informed I would be paying $110 plus co-pay ($150 total) for a 15 minute, initial visit, especially when money is tight with COVID19. I paid the $110 because collections was involved, and it would cost more than $110 to get an attorney. *Now I know why health insurance is so high. * I regret 100%+ going to see Demuth for many reasons.

BEWARE: I had a fall in Florida during the Covid outbreak that injured my left shoulder and left knee. Once home in Maryland, I went to my pcp to get an X-ray script for injuries and had my PCP add an X-ray for my other knee. My wife selected DeMuth and scheduled an appointment. He was very arrogant and pompous from the onset. Another doctor who thinks he is god. We discussed my shoulder and he provided some paperwork for stretching exercises. I then questioned him concerning my other injuries and xrays when he stated “Oh no, this is a one stop, one shop”. I replied “your taking advantage of my insurance”. He began walking out of the room while stating “you can always see another doctor”. I stated that is BS to the nurses still present. I believe this is a form of insurance fraud and cost all patients additional copays while he is taking advantage of insurance companies. His billing practice is inappropriate and probably illegal. BEWARE!
