Took my husband to the er and they admitted him that evening. The next morning I called to check on him and was told that he wasn't there and they didn't know where he was. NO ONE knew where he was. Hours later they told me he had been transferred to another hospital. A bunch of idiots!

Dr. Smith is the kind of physician that every doctor, no matter the field, should strive to be.nShe is accommodating, compassionate, empathetic, knowledgeable, motivated and her and her staff are very passionate about what they do and are truly all-in when it comes to the well being of their patients.nShe is a wonderful family physician that also specializes in addiction medicine and is licensed in the field of medication assisted therapy and Buprenorphine specifically. She takes a Medicaid and is one of but a handful of physicians in the state of Louisiana that runs a Buprenorphine clinic that is fully covered by Medicaid which makes it free for people like me and a lot of patients suffering from Opiate Abuse Disorder which we need desperately.nnDr. Smith did a lot to save my life and I know I'm far from the only one.nShe also has a wonderful head nurse/physicians assistant named Crystal who is wonderful to work with and who can be reached during normal office hours (8 to ~5 pm) and even after much of the time, unlike most doctors offices it's easy to communicate with the staff, have messages sent to and have correspondence with Dr. Smith and get prescription refills or have your medication augmented.nMost of the time it's possible to call and get an appointment the same day if you're already a patient, I've been seen by the doctor later than 9 pm at times, the staff stays after hours quite often and theyre not closing up the office and going home until everyone who needed to be seen has been and every patients need for that day had been taken care if.nIn my experience with most doctors you're lucky to get a call back the same day and to get an appointment that same week and good luck getting a prescription refilled or something changed if it's not working or fixed if it was called in or written wrong.nMuch less can you expect such a compassionate, relaxed, secure, efficient, dignified and positive environment for your healthcare and addiction treatment.nEven the ladies that answer the phone (Sara and Susan) are wonderful and will get you set up with everything you need.nnThere is also an in-house / office counselor and therapist who is also named Crystal who is wonderful at her job and is a wonderful person to have in your corner.nDr. Smith's clinic is well connected with services, rehabs and all kinds of resources throughout northern Louisiana, the community and state wide and Crystal will make sure you get what you need to not only begin your recovery and succeed, but enjoy it.nnI cannot possibly overstate how much of a game changer Dr. Smith and the clinic she runs is for those of us struggling with addiction.nIf you're looking for help, for an extraordinary doctor and staff, and to change your life, then you're looking in the right place.nnGod speed to all of you.nYou CAN win against this monster.nIf I can, then I know you can.nThank you for taking the time to read this.nn-. Very clean, friendly staff that are very helpful. But the ER waiting time is terrible!
