New Orleans Public Library

It felt wonderful to be able to go in there and pick out the books I like to read. I will be saving money because I had bee buying books. Some of the books I purchased are in the library. So yea I am very happy.

A great place for a rainy day and read to one's heart's content. The place does have a faint musty smell on humid days. The occasional homeless person encamped nearby does make it less than ideal but the park next to the library can be wonderful, a green piece amidst the concrete jungle.

Our local library is a great resource. You can go online to search for books and reserve them and keep up on events at the library. During non-covid times, they even took compost once a week. Friendly staff and easy to get information online. While there are better libraries, I love my library.

I had a great experience INSIDE. I went to get my daughter's passport renewed. We spoke to, or worked with four different employees. All were pleasant, knowledgeable, and willing to assist at every turn. I had to run back out from our interview to get a separate money order, but when I came back, the individual that was working with us had someone else in her office, so I thought it only fair to wait, and not hold up the line.nShe came out out to us, just as friendly and informative as could be, and got us underway without interrupting her other clients. Based on my previous experiences, I found the attitudes and personal services to be exemplary.nBravo!nThe place could stand a thorough cleaning, but that does not take away from the prompt and professional services.
