Natchitoches National Fish Hatchery and Aquarium

Loved this place since I was a kid and my kids love it now. Small but awsome place. Recommend it to anyone.

Went here for a children's fishing event. I've got to tell you that everyone we met here was very hospitable and was all about the kids. The facility was small for this type of free event but they handle it like Champs. I fully intend to go to this place next year if they hold a children's event again.

The aquarium is fairly small, but if you take your time to enjoy the fish and turtles, you can learn about local animals and the history of the area. We spent about 45 minutes enjoying the fish and the educational materials.

Super cute place to stop and see if you have a couple minutes to spare. The turtle, Miss. Piggy, was worth the stop alone. My teenage girls LOVED it.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our visit to the aquarium.
