Lake Charles Family Dental

Used to call this place my home until the office manager erroneously misquoted me insurance coverage and ended up cost me about $600. She later admitted to me that she overlooked the text at the bottom of the document that says “not effective until x/xx/xx”. So, to summarize... error on her part and made me eat a $600 “oopsie”. I called continuously and would rarely get calls back regarding this entire ordeal. She just kept promising me that they would get it figured out and would keep reassuring me I wouldn’t get stuck with the bill. Went here for 9 yrs so It was shocking to me how they did me in the end. I told her I did NOT want to have the procedure performed unless I was guaranteed my insurance with my new job had indeed kicked In.nnThe weirdest thing about this whole ordeal was, she told me that they went to review her screw up and what they were going to do and she told me I was ultimately going to be held responsible for it. She told me she took our relationship into consideration “how I was a long term patient, and how I have recommended many friends and family there”. But then brought up the fact that at a certain point of my 9 year history with them, I swapped to another local dentist (for insurance purposes).... and was downplaying my history with them LOL. As if the small hiatus I happened to see another dentist cancelled out all my history with them to the point of then refusing to resolve their screwup.The whole thing was just weird and just left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I continue to believe to this day that Dr Chaumont wasn’t told the entire story... because I don’t think he would’ve personally made that call.nnAnyways, as far as the actual dentist here, I feel he is a trust worthy dentist who isn’t out to do unnecessary work that REALLY doesn’t need to be done. He’s not a bad dentist. One of my crowns weren’t color matched all that great, but it was a tooth in the back of my mouth no one sees.nnAnyways, Terrible ending to a long relationship with this dentist. Still wish to this day I would’ve been able to have a sit down with the dentist himself (as I requested). I learned a lot from this bad experience though.

Had a great and pleasant visit with Dr Chaumont and his crew. Who knew that that was even possible for a trip to the dentist...lol. Kayla was extremely helpful. The environment is nice, new and extremely clean. I will definitely be back in the future .. Ohhh wait, actually I will be back 3 more times in this next weekud83eudd23ud83eudd23ud83eudd23.

The most friendly staff you will ever meet. I took my children in for a check up . Everything was Amazing. We will be coming here for every check up.

I had the best experience with Dr Chamont and Dr Hamilton. I had a root canal. Next day no pain plus my tooth feels amazing. Best dentistry around.
