TMJ & Orofacial Pain Treatment Centers

I would not recommend TMJ & Orofacial Pain Treatment Centers. I went there for an initial appointment and evaluation for TMJ and they basically made it sound like my mouth is literally going to fall off. While Dr. Desai seemed nice enough, it feels like you are buying a car and not get oral facial treatment. They see you as $ not people. Dr. Desai had told me that I was one of the worst cases he has seen in quite a while which is such a load of BS. My friend who is a dentist indicated that there are so much more severe cases than mine. TMJ Treatment Center very much likes to use scare tactics. I went to them because they were one of the only providers around that are actually in my network. I ended up going to a different provider who is out of network and unfortunately I am out the cost of the initial visit and imaging with the TMJ Treatment Center. The difference in thoroughness of the exams is appalling. The TMJ treatment center did a very minimal exam and gave me a blanket recommendation of an oral appliance and physical therapy. There billing is also deceptive. Look at reviews from their other offices referencing the same thing. I wish I would have steered clear of them right away as it will actually be cheaper, better customer care and treatment plan with the other provider I am now seeing. (They also make you pay to send imaging)! I would not recommend them.

Dr. Mier is extremely friendly and truly cares. He gets 5 stars. I only gave 4 stars for an issue trying to set up the original appointment.
