I'll start with the rooms, they were clean. But that's about the only good thing about this hotel. Main issue is the staff, we checked in late at night and we're helped by some local friends to get settled only to shortly have management come telling us we couldn't stay anymore. Turns out they don't allow guests at all here and if you have anyone other then the people staying here even if they are just visiting they are going try to tell you you're not welcome here. This is very very disappointing, for this reason I cannot recommend this hotel.nnI was able to work it out with the staff but this shouldn't even be an issue.
We were coming into Clayton, GA from Oklahoma and ended up getting into town around 3am. We tried to get a room at 3 other hotels in town. One man was available and was rude and only took cash and at the other 2, nobody would answer. We finally tried this one even though it was pricier than we originally wanted. I had a very kind lady set us up for the night. There’s a reason it’s pricier- it’s the best hotel in the area! Room smelled clean and was exceptionally clean and comfortable! It was roomy and well appointed. The staff is fantastic and you can tell they take pride in and care about the hotel. My husband’s family lives in this town and this will be our go to when we visit.
Peaceful,off the beaten path and didn't hear traffic in our room. Kind of pricey. Loved the small balcony
Clean and easy in/out. Close to Talulah Falls, Black Rock Mountain, and not far from Highlands, NC area.
Very helpful front desk. Clean room. Nothing spectacular but good value.
