I called Pates nearly four months ago to service my home. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and answered all of my questions. She told me that it would take nearly two weeks to hear back to schedule an appointment because it's handled from another lady who doesn't live in Rabun County. Three weeks go by and I called the office again and I was assured that I would hear back. I was also told that my first appointment could cost anywhere from one hundred to a couple hundred dollars. American pest charges $80.00. Four months later and several phone calls I went with another pest control company because every time I called I was given the run around. My family has used Pates for many, many years and talked so highly of the business. To say I was disappointed to get the run around for months is an understatement. Mr. Pate is one of the kindest men you will ever meet and works very hard, from what I am told. It seems he just doesn't have or cannot find adequate help.nI also find it strange that nearly all of the reviews I've read on the business are written by former or current employees, not customers themselves.

Very good & knowledgable customer service. Have not scheduled appointment yet due to the holidays.
