I can never get an answer when I call ..Ive only spoke to a counselor 1 time when I did get an answer on the phone..nJPay there in the facility is never working to send or receive messages to and from my family member because of communication problems..nHave gotten 2 letters total every few months in the past 7 months..Prison appears to be always on lockdown..Im from out of state So I have yet to be able to have a visit to my family member or schedule a visit...This is violation of the inmates rights there..

After reading the article in AARP magazine, I would say that the inmates are far more intelligent than the employees. They should has fired all officers and hired someone with some at Least are high school education.

They set visiting hours for 9am-3pm yet whenever I have gone my visit doesn't start until at least ten or eleven because they say they don't have enough staff and have to wait for someone to run the visits, there has not been any A/C, no one ever answers the phone and I ordered my husband a package a month ago that he still hasn't received it. The counselor's dont counsel because its several things they are supposed to do on the inmates behalf including but not limited to putting in paperwork on the inmates behalf. God Bless the souls of any inmate that has to go to this hell on earth.

Staff is very unprofessional and rude. I have so many questions but not enough answers. No one answers the phone. No one knows where any of my paperwork is. I feel like I am being punished for even calling to get answers. They always lie and say one thing and do another. The Counselor do not care . No one cares about my loved one in there

I see all of the bad reviews, my son is there and I haven't experience any rude behavior from the staff as of yet. Maybe he hasn't been there long enough I don't know. They may have modified some of the protocol at the prison since the reviews. If you haven't spoken to your love one sign up for jpay if you haven't already and you can take full advantage of communication with your love ones. You can video, email, send pictures, cards etc.., The inmate should have a tablet as well. My son counselor was very helpful and nice and every time I have called with a concern or to get clarification on anything some one calls me back from the counselor to the supervisor. The only person that I haven't spoke to was the warden but all of the administrators answered my question so I assume there was no need to talk to the warden. I can confirm that I heard from the inmates that they are on lock down and treated as a maximum security prison. So I inquired about their recreation time and was told that as of right now they are short staffed but they do allow recreation but just a building at a time. I can confirm they are short staff because i visit my son often and most times it's been one officer registering visitors and its really a 2 or 3 person task. Just to add some positive and truthful feedback. Although there is nothing positive about incarceration but the truth is he is there.
