First Baptist Church

FBC Thomson has a great church family. I enjoy the Sunday School class and the worship service. Both are very Christ centered. Everyone is welcome and I encourage you to attend.

I had my 2 year old son go to the pre school at this church. When we had orientation I already had a feeling his teachers weren’t going to be the sweetest. Definitely not what I expected at a church pre school. They spoke to him as if they didn’t look forward to seeing him. The policy was to take the child for time out in the amount of their age. They kept him from play time for 20 minutes. I filmed it and asked kori who said that wasn’t acceptable nor suppose to happen. The teacher saw me watching in the parking lot and let him go play last three minutes. The other teacher was on her cell phone the whole time and not watching the children. Any time I asked kori about issues, she’d say they’ve had issues with those teachers before but nothing was being done other than ‘speaking’ to them. At the end of the day they’d give gummy bears to all other students but mine. He didn’t understand that and would leave school sad everyday not knowing why he wasn’t liked. We sent him to a new pre school and they love him. I was in tears taking him out of this awful pre school church. They’re awful teachers and definitely small town. His new pre school adores him and never has issues with him. BTW when I asked why he was always in trouble “because he didn’t want to sit on the mat for story time.” Pathetic. Negligent at most. Don’t send your kids to this school. They won’t be treated well.

My daughter goes here for Upward Basketball! Always so much fun

Went there on Wednesdays for dinner and Bible study while I worked in their town.
