Art City Dental: Mark C Fullmer DDS

While I have had good service with most staff and visit’s with Art City Dental, today was a different case. The problem was with one of the dentists and how he acted and treated my five year old boy. Dr Mark Fullmer has to be one of the most unprofessional dentists and people I have ever met. Today he was working on my son as I said who is 5. Previously my son was here a week ago being worked on by a different dentist who did a phenomenal job and we had no problems. My son had two small cavities to fill. Fullmer came in and started working on his teeth. My son was nervous, but doing well. When it came time to fill one of the cavities. He had to redo one of the filings a third time. After not getting it the second time he threw the tool in his hand so hard on the tray it bounced on the floor. He then pushed my son's arm down and told him it was his fault and he needed to quit moving or it was going to hurt him. He then proceeded to clamp down on his jaw with his hand and pull his head up. I was not particularly happy about this and how he was acting. I told Fullmer my child was 5 and he needed to relax. The last time we were here filling a cavity we didn’t have these problems and getting mad and throwing tools wasn’t very professional. I asked if I needed to go find another dentist and would take my son. He proceeded to argue with me about it to the point I left the room and walked down the hallway to watch away from him. After he was finished Fullmer came out to me in the lobby where I had been standing watching my son and started to argue with me again. I pointed out to him there were people in his lobby and he was going to argue with me in the lobby in front of people and how unprofessional it was. He didn’t seem to care and tried to tell me it was my fault he couldn’t do his job. I pointed out to him the other dentist had no problem and I wasn’t the one throwing tools or getting mad at a 5 year old child. Again he didn’t listen to anything I said and rambled on leaving quite angrily in a huff saying I can find a different dentist. As he was leaving one of the receptionists who witnessed it apologized to me for his actions and said she was sorry. I have had many good experiences with Art city Dental and Dr Perkins and the other dentist who worked on my son before were wonderful. But Fullmer was very unprofessional and seemed annoyed and extremely impatient while working on my son. I would never let him near one of your children or even yourself if you go there and ask for another dentist.

I've been going to Mark's office for years (when I have lived in Utah County). He does an awesome job! He is extremely personable and nice. His staff work hard and are probably the most friendly people around. The office is in Springville and has a real home town feel. I recommend Mark and his dental practice above the rest. I actually drive from American Fork to Springville just to go there.

I have been going to Mark Fullmer for a long time. I appreciate all his work with me and my mouth. Mark is works well with patients and his staff is the best and helps me to feel at ease when I am in his office. I would go anywhere else and I recommend him to everyone.

I loved the atmosphere. I felt at home and comfortable. The tech and dentist were attentive and helpful. They answered all my questions and treated me like I mattered. The reception staff was welcoming and pleasant too. I will be returning there and would recommend them.

My sister called in tears with my 4 year old nephew screaming, Fullmer didn't prepare my 4 year old nephew at all for his fillings, and just started to fill them. No numbing, no pain control, nothing. My nephew started screaming, and Fullmer held his head down with his hand, and kept working telling him to be a big boy and not allowing my sister to comfort him in anyway. My sister called to explain her concerns, only to be told they will be passed along to Fullmer. Terrible! Is this really the dentist you want?
