Sliding Rock Cabins

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This place will make excuses to keep your deposit so consider it gone. You have to do the housekeeping 100% before you leave... but don't worry they will still charge you for every little thing even if its not you fault. Like snow and ice damaging structures on the property. Even if you call and tell them hey went to use this and the ice shattered something. Pet friendly but will charge you ac and filter cleaning fee. If you leave something, they charge you $50 minimum to send it to you, even if it only cost $5 at the post office (i lost an action figure i bought for grandson cheaper to buy another one at this point) The parking is a pain, pulling all the linen off the beds and taking it all down stairs was horrible. The place is much, much smaller then they make it out to be. The roads in and out are not very well maintained. Its not close to any attractions like it claims to be. The list goes on and on of reasons not to go there. No joke. Spend your money somewhere else. This place is horrible and smells like rotten eggs. Also takes several weeks for them to send out email explaining what they are charging you for.

Sliding Rock is our go-to cabin rental company for a getaway from Atlanta. We just returned from River Solace which is right on the Ellijay River. Literally, you can hang your fishing pool over the deck! It has a fenced yard for the pup and it is so nice and private. Like every other stay, the cabin was immaculate when we arrived. We are planning our summer adventure now!

Rent with a different company!nnWe used to love renting these cabins with friends once a year, but after our most recent experience we will be using a different company for the future. My friends and I rented the cabin 4 months ahead of time so that I could use a hot tub for the first time after pregnancy, and all of us were looking forward to it for months. When we showed up the hot tub was unplugged and not working. We get it, things happen, but we called and were assured someone would be out to take a look the next morning. When we heard nothing, we called back and were told no one was coming to even take a look because apparently someone had already been there Friday and they knew it wasn't working. Unfortunately, no one bothered to let us know before we arrived, because we would have rescheduled to another weekend when the hot tub was working. To make matters worse, there were problems with the foosball table and hammock as well. So we waited until Monday and contacted the front desk, assuming we could get a credit for a future night to come back and have a hot tub weekend. Unfortunately, the main office refused to refund any more than 14% of our total cost, which is a small consolation given that the hot tub was the primary reason we booked the cabin in the first place. After the lack of communication, the failure to communicate the status of the hot tub before we arrived, and then the refusal to make it right, we definitely will not be using this company again.nnAlso---bring your own toilet paper, they do not provide extra! Nor do they provide any shampoo or conditioner! For the prices, these items should be included.

We have used Sliding Rock to rent wonderful cabins over the past ten years. The people who run Sliding Rock are fantastic. We always bring our pups, which makes this our go to option. The cabins are all well taken care of and provide a great vacation place. It is always great to escape to Ellijay.

We have rented cabins thought Sliding Rock for years and they have always been a wonderful company with great cabins. We recently rented a beautiful private cabin with great views. During vacation last month, our dog slipped out of the cabin and disappeared for 3 days. We were desperately looking for him, and Sliding Rock bent over backwards to help us... Gaining access to private property, spreading information in the community about out pet, and even was trying to arrange extended accommodations during the peak leaf season. Thanks to them, we found him. We could not ask for a more caring and professional group. They have us as customers for life! THANK YOU Sliding Rock and the caring people of Ellijay!!
