Karen and Keith’s beautiful bed and breakfast was the perfect place for our anniversary getaway. The house is located just off the Ellijay River and offers amazing views both in the house and on the several porches outside. The large house itself is very tidy and perfectly decorated. Breakfast is served at a time of your choosing (830, 9, or 930) and the food and coffee was absolutely delightful. Karen and Keith know exactly how to make the guests feel comfortable and safe with the smart lock on the front door, respect of privacy, and warm hospitality and chats we had. The small things they did like leave a wine opener out, fresh water in the mini fridge, and clean room upon check-in, definitely did not go unnoticed. We cannot wait to visit again soon!

We enjoyed every bit of our stay!! What a cozy place.. we felt right at home here. The bedrooms/bathrooms as well as the shared space are beautiful! And the outdoor space is magical. We spent time in the morning and evening relaxing outside by the river. We even enjoyed a fire outside one evening. The breakfast was amazing and the dessert in the evening was such a nice treat. It was super close to the mountain bike trail we had picked out, and also really close to some great wineries too! Being walking distance to the best bars/restaurants in Ellijay just made every evening so relaxing. Thank you for everything Keith and Karen!!

We really enjoyed this quaint house on the river. Karen and Keith did an amazing job upgrading this property while keeping the old southern charm. It was extremely clean. The beds slept very good as well. The breakfast provided by chef Keith each morning was 5 star! A delightful B&B run by a delightful couple. Highly recommend

We stayed here for 2 nights when my husband and I were looking at land. This was our first time at a Bed and Breakfast. Wow! What a great choice! Karen and Keith were so accommodating and kind. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was so bright and cheerful. I started everyday with a smile on my face. Breakfast was amazing each day. The proprietors were so friendly and personable they made us feel like it was home. If ANYONE needs a place to stay in Ellijay, you could do no better than the Ellijay River House. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a special experience at this place.

Every aspect of our stay was so perfectly curated! We stayed in The Retreat, which has a beautiful in-room fire place and a private bathroom with a gorgeous claw foot tub. Karen and Keith were so welcoming and went the extra mile with personal touches, from remembering how we took our coffee to putting out AMAZING desserts every night and even accommodated my S/O asking them to have fresh flowers in our room when we arrived as a surprise for my birthday. And it’s so close to the center of town! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cute and cozy B&B in the area.
