Too bad Kemp doesn't care what is going on right under his nose. It is now common practice for the Public Defender's Office to represent individuals who are not poor AND have full knowledge of their client's wealth. Worse, the DA's Office is fully aware of this practice and does nothing. Meanwhile, individuals sit in jail for months and months waiting on a Public Defender to help them. What a racket!!!

Clayton County Public Defenders dont know the law. They make plea deals for their clients that they have not researched and the client isnt really eligible for. The Work Release Program is a prime example. Their clients are offered Work Release as a Plea Deal only to find out they are not eligible for and therefore must sit in ClayCo jail. Get you a paid lawyer instead. Clayton County Public (Pre)tenders do more harm!!!
