Virginia Highland’s Fire Station 19 is historic for being Atlanta’s oldest operating fire station.nBut it so much more!!nCaptain Castronova and her battalion of fire fighters service the community by responding to fires, medical emergencies and safety related questions.nI recently organized a fire station visit for Callum, a three year old child who wants to be a fire fighter and his 5 year old cousins. The fire fighters engaged all of the children by letting them sit inside the truck and showing them all the safety equipment. It turned out to be an amazingly fun learning experience for all the kids, and one that just might help keep them safe if ever they find themselves in a fire situation.nThank you Captain. Castronova and fire fighters Chris, Carl and Kenny!! We appreciate all that you do to educate and keep us all safe!!nnSusan Caolo
